What's included
A semi-automatic lever espresso machine
La Pavoni, a titan in the world of coffee, is responsible for the world’s first commercial and domestic espresso machines. The Cellini Classic combines both sensibilities: It has two gauges that let you monitor pressure for your ideal espresso and a tactile manual lever, as well as a heat-exchange mechanism that lets you brew coffee and foam milk at the same time. It comes equipped with an insulated copper boiler for energy saving and increased thermal stability. The large 3-litre tank and heat control mechanisms allow you to brew back-to-back coffees, with a Solenoid valve that keeps the puck dry after each brew. The machine shuts off when there is not enough water in the boiler to operate safely, and a light warns you when water is running low. The steam wand and hot water tap, perfect for Americanos or tea, stay cool to the touch. The top of the machine is designed to store coffee mugs and cups, as the heat of the machine warms them. The stainless steel body is easy to keep clean with a damp cloth. Every part has been made in Milan, and the machine is built to last for decades. Fitted with a UK plug (220-240V) and includes:
- Two portafilters, with single and dual spouts
- Filter baskets for single (7g) and double (16g) doses
- Tamper
- Blind filter basket and cleaning brush
- Coffee scoop

But it takes some experimentation to get right, which is why we put together this comprehensive guide. It’s 100% worth the effort, because this machine lasts forever.
If you're serious about coffee, especially espresso, a top-quality coffee grinder like the La Pavoni Cilindro Prosumer is key. It features a hopper on the top that holds up to 600g of coffee beans and an anti-slip base, but its crowning feature is the flat hardened steel burrs. This results in a very uniform grind that is crucial for good espresso. With a powerful 50mm burr diameter and a speed of about 1.4 grams a second, it is an efficient machine.
Why we love it
'If you want cafe-style coffee at home, in a machine that doesn’t take up too much counter space, you can’t do better than this La Pavoni. It is built like a tank.'

About The Brand
La Pavoni
La Pavoni, a titan in the coffee world, manufactured the first espresso machine in 1905, and went on to create the first espresso machine for home use in 1961. Since the very beginning, they have operated out of the same factory in Milan, which survived both World Wars. Every machine is hand-assembled with generational knowledge and scientific precision, and the mechanisms have remained virtually unchanged for over 50 years. Every part is easily replaceable, making their extremely durable machines able to last forever.
